About Us

The Heart of Jubilee is a Christian, nonprofit organization. Our goal is to open a group home where we can provide a safe, nurturing environment where residents will be able to prepare to reenter society with a hopeful future, practical skills, and a sense of well-being.

Chair and President

As Chair and President of the Heart of Jubilee, I was inspired by God as a calling put on my heart in February 2016 to open a home for girls escaping from sex trafficking. My background and areas of managing experience focus on sales for local and national niche markets, as well as 38 years of operations and compliance within the banking industry. When asking God, “Why me,” His response was, “The evangelist Katherine Kuhlman asked me the same question, and I told her because I had already asked two men and they said no.” That’s when I realized it is simply our availability to God who leads us in a specific calling. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit” said the Lord Almighty, Zechariah 4:6. Then I asked the Lord, “What shall I call it.” He responded, “The Heart of Jubilee, because it is my heart’s desire to restore back to these girls everything the enemy has robbed from them and to give them an abundant life in Me.” Then God said to me, “Be anxious for nothing because the plans I have set before you have already been sealed in Heaven.” So, let us all know that His Will has come to pass. Will you pray with me and ask God how He will lead you to join in our efforts to stop sex trafficking, not only in our community but throughout the United States? Secretary

It is my honor and privilege to serve as Vice President of the Heart of Jubilee. I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Francisco State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. After I left high school, I’ve had a longing to help women and children who have a history of abuse. It wasn’t until God led me to the Heart of Jubilee that I found my true passion. Human sex trafficking has been a silent issue that enslaves hundreds of thousands each year. I feel that through the Heart of Jubilee, I can use my faith, education, and experience in trauma-focus therapy to help every girl who walks through our doors. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow].” ~Psalms 147:3 Amplified Bible

Treasurer

As Treasurer of the Heart of Jubilee, I have spent more than 35 years in the banking and settlement services industry. My many duties included reconciling escrow and title trust accounts with an emphasis on clearing reconciliation items. As technology advanced I became proficient in the use of internet banking products. I have also worked with analyzed analysis statements, reviewing them for accuracy and maximum benefit to our clients. I will use my knowledge and experience to update and maintain the Heart of Jubilee’s bank accounts, reconciliations, and software programs, and I will provide monthly treasurer reports to the Board of Directors. I am honored to be a part of the Heart of Jubilee and its mission to provide a safe, nurturing home for those escaping from the sex trafficking industry.

Director of Activities

As the Director of Activities, I have a degree in Physical Education and have taught at a local high school for more than 30 years, having served as the department chair for 15 years. In addition, I was the director of a very successful and sought after fire academy with responsibility for the development and design of a highly specialized program that taught these young cadets to learn and perform skills needed to be both firefighters as well as productive citizens. I have now decided to devote my life serving the needs that the Lord places on my heart. I consider life a journey, and I am enjoying every moment of it.

Director of Education

My background is in Education of children and young people, as well as administration. I have helped start private preschools, and have been both a Teacher and Director. I homeschooled my children and taught in a cooperative Homeschool. I have experience designing curriculum for different age groups. I speak to Christian women’s groups on various subjects with God’s Word as its foundation. I have facilitated groups of children, youth, and adults as well as groups to bring parents and their children into a better relationship with one another and God while helping them to better navigate through life in the private sector.

The Heart of Jubilee Board is blessed to have these highly trained and skilled individuals serve the Lord and bring Honor to His name.
